Prof. Neher was awarded the Nobel Prize for explanation of the role of single ion channels in cells. This is an area widely understood physiology, biophysics and biochemistry.
Our guests will deliver a plenary lecture entitled Ion Channels: Their Discovery, Their Function, and Their Role in Disease.
A lot of distinguished other scientists are also invited.
The organizers invited also a group of young scientists, future potential beneficiaries of scholarships from Alexander von Humboldt-Foundation (Germany). They obtain a possibility to present their own research in form of posters.
